Story
Thomas Brown was an orphan, raised by the state of Connecticut. He had a troubled childhood and became a problem child. Because of this, he was never adopted, and instead "graduated" from the orphanage when he was 18. While he was in high school, he had demonstated an aptitude with computers, and earned a scholarship to the University of California in Los Angeles. He earned his B.S. in Computer Science three years later.
Brown was in Chicago for a computer convention. He was walking in downtown Chicago one evening, and he got lost. He stopped in Merl's Curio Shoppe to ask directions. While in the shop, he found an old medalion and a strange miniature dragon. He bought them both and got his directions. Later that evening, he was suprised to discover that the medialion had granted him the ability to transform into a superhuman form and that the dragon, named Sealth, was telepathic and could breath fire. Brown then embarked on a crusade for good. He has returned to Chicago several times, but has been unable to locate Merl's shop again.
Campaign Role
Halogen is the muscle man of the L.A. Guardians, an independent, DMI approved super-team.
Personality
Brown is extremely competitive and a bit of a loner. He rries a lot of repressed frustration around inside him, and it occassionally boils over.
Abilities
Thomas Brown is extremely strong for a normal and a capable computer programmer. He has the ability to mysticlaly transform into Halogen. When he transforms, his clothing and eye color change. As Halogen, Brown is superhumanly strong, has enhanced senses of sight and smell, can fly and project stunning bolts of mental force from his hands. He thinks his flight may be a form of levitation, but it has never occurred to him that he might be telekinetic.
Brown's mundane form is ST 16, DX 12, and HT 12. It has none of Halogen's superadvantages or psionic powers. All DX based skills are reduced, as well.
Battle Tactics
Fly whenever possible, to gain a visual advantage over what is going on. He prefers to use his stun bolts over his strength because of the range advantage as well as the bolts being less damaging.

Quirks
Lazy
Likes to eat and lounge in the sunlight
Story
Sealth used to be a stone statuette until Thomas Brown removed him from Merl's Curio Shoppe. Now, Sealth is a living breathing dragon.
Campaign Role
He's Brown/Halogen's right hand dragon. The two are inseparable.
Personality
Like larger dragons, Sealth is somewhat lazy, preferring to let others do his work for him. However, if annoyed or Halogen is in danger, Sealth will demonstrate why not to underestimate minature dragons!
Abilities
Sealth can fly, bite, breath magical fire and communicate telepathically (although he rarely does). By releasing only a little fire through his mouth or nostrils, he can illuminate a six foot radius circle around himself.
Battle Tactics
Sealth tries remain unobtrustive while he flys around an opponent to burn their backsides. He has a wicked sense of humor, and often "aims" for his opponent's butt (which adds a little insult to injury).
Character Evolution Background
Halogen and Sealth created by Patric L. Rogers in 1991. Halogen was created while Patric was a student at Albion College. Patric created him shortly after buying the Mystic Masters supplement for Champions. Patric liked the idea of the visible Ego Attack, drew a picture, and the Champions version of Halogen was born. Halogen was transliterated to GURPS in January, 1996.
