Story

Christian wasn't always strange looking. He grew up in Athens, Georgia, the sixth child in a family of nine kids. He studied karate when he was a kid to protect himself from his older siblings, and won a baseball scholarship to attend college in Minnesota. While in Minnesota, he was exposed to the Wiccan religion by a very spiritual Wiccan who also happened to be an accomplished mage. She taught him a few spells, as well as helped him appreciate the world beyond Georgia. From there he went on to medical school at Johns Hopkins, and did very well. He specialized as a medical technician, and eventually graduated. During his medical training, he was accidently exposed to certain radioactive materials. Unknown to him, these materials activated his metahuman genes, and over the next two years, Christian grew and grew until he was well over seven feet tall.

Eventually, not knowing what to do with himself, and having no where else to work, he applied at Supertemps. Supertemps accepted him, and respecting his wishes, assigned him for primary duty to the Technical Division as a medical technician. However, he reluctantly agrees to perform occassinal duty for the Guardian Division. In the Guardian Division, he met Sierra Sevenstar, and the two have become good friends. Sierra often teases him, however, for his comparitive lack of mystical knowledge.

Campaign Role

Wood is most likely to be encountered as a member of the Guardian Division.

Personality

Christian is shy and unpresupposing. He is a quiet conversationalist, but pays careful attention to everything going on around him. A side-effect of his transformation is that his attention span runs a bit short, and he's a little mentally unstable.

Abilities

Christian has a diverse range of abilities. His primary abilities are extraordinary resistance to injury and the ability to generate a powerful electron pulse from his hands. He also has limited magical skills and psionic abilities.

Battle Tactics

Christian neither fears nor enjoys combat. If forced to fight, he will spend more time worrying about others more than about himself (he's virtually bullet proof, after all).

Adventure Seed

A magical threat has come to town, and the PCs encounter Wood while investigating.  Because of his strange appearance, the PCs may think Wood is the magical threat and attack him (especially if they first encounter him on a dark and stormy night).
