Ms. Fist

Background: Ms. Fist is an altered human who gained her powers in about 1984 or 1985. Let's say she was one of VIPER's early attempts to create a superhuman. She was a computer technician working for VIPER, and on a whim she volunteered for experimentation. They told her it wouldn't hurt and she could quit at any time. After several physical exams (by sleazy doctors), she was subjected to chemical and radiological treatment and physical training programs. She very quickly stopped feeling like a person and began to feel like a guinea pig. She wanted out of the program, but VIPER threatened to kill her (she was an orphan and had no siblings, so they couldn't threaten her family). When Lomax Kijarat offered her a way out, she took it.

Personality/Motivation: Ms. Fist is fairly care-free, with her one driving passion being her computers. Years ago there was nothing more she enjoyed than a good slugfest.  However, she's calmed down quite a bit.  She still loves to show off in everything, except her computers, where she lets her work speak for itself.  She is flamboyant, and this combined with her beauty makes her the most famous of the New Conquerors.

Quotes: "You can't beat me. I'm stronger than you, and I know everything about you."
"Privacy does not exist in the Information Age; the Network is everywhere."

Powers/Tactics: Few would believe it, but Ms. Fist is an excellent computer programmer and hacker. She never acts like it, often putting up a "dumb brick" or "dumb blonde" facade. Ms. Fist is well educated in tactics and has over a decade of tactical combat experience. However, like all things that are not computer-related, she has an extremely reckless attitude about combat. If she feels that she or her companions are in real danger, she will draw upon her experience to defeat the opponent as quickly and efficiently as possible. She normally enjoys a good brawl with a fellow brick. The one exception is Durak, of Eurostar, with whom she has a running blood-feud which will end only when one of them dies.

The VIPER process endowed her with superhuman strength, durability and the power of flight (which is actually a form of levitation). Her strength is so great, she can partially overcome Newtonian physics and when she strikes something, she can also push it extremely hard, increasing the knockback. It is also possible, but never studied, that when she exerts her strength, she also exerts a limited telekinetic ability which increases the knockback.

Since she initially gained her powers, she has continued to change; whatever process VIPER initiated, it hasn't stopped. She has grown taller and her bone and muscle have become more dense. The rate of changed has slowed significantly, but since 1985 she has grown about six inches in height and now has a mass over three times her original. This tissue density partially explains her superhuman strength, stamina, durability and recovery rate.  She also enjoys a retarded aging process, and will likely live a healthy 180 years or so.

As a member of the New Conquerors, she has trained in a number of specialized combat disciplines. She has learned Boxing and weakness detection, developed special resistance to mental powers and learned effective techniques for combating magical beings.

Appearance: Ms. Fist is a statuesque blond, standing about 6'3" tall and having a great figure. She never discusses her weight (about 500 pounds) because even without her superdense bone and muscle, few people would appreciate the fact that her large frame requires a lot of mass. She has flowing blond hair and powder blue eyes. Because her hair shares her limited invulnerability, she can only have it styled by one of the few stylists in the world proficient with an x-ray laser styling wand. She is extremely well-muscled, exercises regularly, and tries to keep a light, all-body tan.

Campaign Use: Ms. Fist is the strong-arm of the New Conquerors. She is also a brilliant computer technician and hacker. Player Characters who spend a lot of time working with computers, or chatting on the Internet will likely encounter her in one way or another.

Ms. Fist might also be the patron for a superhero group.  She would work anonymously of course, but what a dramatic story it would be for the heroes to discover that their patron is a member of one of the most ruthless supervillain groups ever known.

Miscellaneous History: She was hunted by VIPER between 1985 and 1989. In 1989, the VIPER Supreme Serpent decided that attempting punitive action against Ms. Fist was becoming cost prohibitive. (The New Conquerors had defeated twelve VIPER attacks; killing seven agents and leading to imprisonment of sixteen more). Since 1989, only the former VIPER supervillain Nodd continues to hunt Ms. Fist and the New Conquerors. (Nodd's sister was one of the VIPER agents killed by the N.C.)

Ms. Fist and Durak have an on-going war. Each time they meet, insurance rates soar as they devastate the landscape. The first time they met, Durak had the advantage and broke Ms. Fist's arm. The third time they met, Rogue and Ms. Fist double-teamed Durak, and the big man was carried away to nurse three broken ribs and two cracked vertebrae.
