Elastimen

Artwork by Jeff Phillips. Used with permission.

Buried deep in an unexplored South American swamp is an ancient stand of trees.  These trees conceal the entrance to an underground base designed and built by the supervillain Motivator.  Motivator uses this base only rarely, but her Elastimen are trained in a number of sciences and they continue to advance her research on a number of projects.  There are ten Elastimen and they also act as the guardian's of the base, capturing anyone unfortunate enough to venture too close the hidden base.  Occasionally, if the victim shows promise for an experiment in human mutation the Elastimen will contact Motivator for instructions, but most victims simply die.

The Elastimen are all identical in appearance, standing an even six feet tall, with short brown hair and brown eyes.  They have a slightly Mediterranean appearance.  Each has been trained in the fields of mathematics, biology, botany, genetics, physiology, and chemistry.  Each is fluent in several languages including dialects of Spanish, English and German.  Motivator can and does occassionally modify their personalities through use of her psionic powers.

Physical Handicap:  The Elastimen must spend eight hours per day rejuvenating in the cloning tanks which spawned them or they lose the ability to heal Hit Point damage.  This means if they are separated from their base of operations for a long time, will eventually die.  A side effect of the rejuvenation process is that it erases all development of independent personality, thus all Elastimen have the same personality.
