History:  King Wyatt Halloway of El Paso decided he wanted to experiment to create superhumans to batle the vampires. He couldn't get any volunteers, so he sent his bully boys out to find some. Josie Lopez was in the wrong place at the wrong time.  The experiment didn't appear to do anything, but because the scientists weren't sure, they dumped Josie back on the streets and watched her. She spotted her tail and led them into a trap against the K-9 gang so she could escape. Later, she discovered her abilities.

She almost never changes out of her metal body - it's a lot safer being composed of supertough metal.  She also normally stays about 8' tall and lets others think she is an advanced type of 'borg. It should be noted that her metal form looks different than her normal (flesh) form. As metal, she is huskier and taller (looks about 2" taller and 30 pounds heavier, even without using her Growth power). A special effect of her Alter Physical Structure: Metal power is that she looks somewhat "borg-like". Under dire circumstances, she will change back to her flesh-and-blood form to effect a disguise or escape. Her clothes and equipment do not change size when she does.

She hates Wyatt Halloway. She is indifferent towards the Coalition (she's heard bad things, though). She hates demons, gives other humans the benefit of the doubt, but is wary of non-humans. (She had a lot of trouble with the K-9 and Trog gangs of El Paso.)

She once overheard someone talking about "sploogie bio-borgs." She now claims to be one (most people know even less than she does). Since she knows almost nothing about "sploogies" she guards herself explaining that "she was in a lot of pain, blocked out most of the event, and really doesn't want to remember the experience anyway." If pressured, she will get defensive to the point of threat of violence.

For the last few years, she has been selling her skills as an adventurer and mercenary. She hates vampires with a blind passion, and practically worships Reid's Rangers (although she has never met any of the original Rangers. If she ever met Grizzly Carter she would probably faint.)

The Nightvision power manifested long after her original powers. It appears to be the result of further mutation after spending several days traveling along a ley line. The increased speed manifested and about the same time, and may be a result of the same process.
