Winger and Dredd

Mention the names Amy Winger or Kyle Dredd in the wrong company, and you're likely to have your head handed to you. Winger and Dredd have become notorious in certain circles as capable, dangerous assassins for hire. They can do the job any way you like - loud and messy, or neat and clean. Together, they've committed over 100 assassinations and murders, but they're so careful and fastidious that there has never been enough evidence for the authorities to even arrest them. No one is clear how the two got together, but it is clear they make an impressive team.

Amy Winger is in her early 30's, about 5'8", with shoulder length brown hair and brown eyes. She's attractive, and has a heart as cold as ice. Her personality is cautious and careful, but with an impulsive streak; she has expensive tastes. She came from a well-to-do background, and has an impressive education, and makes it her business to keep abreast of the latest in security and surveillance technologies. She is reputed to be an excellent hand-to-hand combatant, having studied Shao-Lin kung fu at the Temple of the Nine Dragons in Tibet, and trains regularly to hone her natural fighting skills. Rumors persist that she has a child living at the Temple of the Nine Dragons, but no one claims to have ever seen the child, and Winger never responds to these rumors.

Kyle Dredd grew up on the tracks, literally. In his home town in Northern Europe, his bedroom window was less than a hundred feet from an industrial rail track. His family was upper lower-class, and Kyle got in a lot of fights when he was a kid. He joined the military as soon as he could, and there he was inducted into the special forces. Dredd is in his late 20's, about 6' tall, with short-cut black hair (greying at the temples, and thinning on top), and blue eyes. Dredd's personality is cold, but he always seems on the verge of exploding into action. He is a demolitions and firearms expert, and beginning with a demolitions accident, he has undergone extensive cybernetic and bionic augmentation. He is fixated with the idea of using technology to convert the human body into the ultimate weapon; he spends a lot of money making sure he has the latest and greatest cyber-gizmos.

Game Mechanics

Original Conception for: Heroes Unlimited (Hardware/Electrical and Bionic) (they work for the same Agency that the Mismatched Seven (M7) do; although the M7 know nothing about Winger and Dredd, the reverse is not true.)

Transliterations to include: Champions, Rifts (same background as M7), GURPS, Shadowrun (Dredd has some custom 'wares; but BI < 4, E > 2), Street Fighter 2

"Story" concept: Kwei, Winger and Halcyon are all from the same temple. The Ruby Dragon kidnaps a young girl from the Temple of Nine Dragons (the girl may be Winger's daughter), thus all three go after the Dragon to retrieve the young girl. Thus, the M7, Winger and Dredd, Halcyon and the girl are all in the same place, at the same time, and the powerful magicks unleashed cause a rift to open dropping all of them in to Rifts Earth.

In the Rifts Earth, Halcyon meets and partners with the Gabrielle robot.
