Marvel Comics Sentinel Prime

[This design is based on the "Sentinel Prime" characters appearing in X-Men #66, August 1997.  Where appropriate, Copyright © Marvel Comics Group.]

Human Sentinel from X-Men Ultimate Guide These are "Operation:  Zero Tolerance" Sentinels.  With the possible exception of the "Nimrod" models, these Sentinels appear to be some of the most advanced to date.  They may, in fact, be modified humans, but they demonstrate many of the qualities of pure robots or pure cybernetic organisms.  What is known is that they are human size and have superhuman strength.  Their appearance of being human extends to the point where a doctor and emergency room medical team can be fooled in to trying to resuscitate one that has been "killed" by gunshot wounds.  They operate in teams of two to four and can coordinate their activities and form complex plans (e.g. two pretend to be paramedics, while the third pretends to be a gunshot victim to draw out the doctor who happens to be a mutant).

Like all Sentinels, the advanced sensor suite allows them to detect mutants and analyze displayed mutant powers.  They can project beams of energy from their finger tips (9.4 Kj output CPB), or significantly more powerful beams from their clenched fists or palms (287 Kj output CPB).  They are equipped with non-lethal electroshockers in their hands to subdue targets.

Their communication equipment enables them to maintain contact with the entire Sentinel information network via scrambled radio transmission.  This network can provide them with virtually any skill necessary (restricted only by download time and program Complexity), and provides them access to the Sentinel database of known mutants.  Unlike previous Sentinels, their programming permits them to threaten, attack, harm, and in some cases brutally butcher non-mutant humans.
