Eventually I hope to have many of the stories and email that passed back and forth up here. Until then, I'll have to ask you to indulge me. We used email a lot to recap and summarize stories, and some of us also used it to supplement the face-to-face gaming (which was not appreciated by all the players).

Closure: Team Beta faced off against the Other and his Synthoids. After quickly dispatching the Synthoids, the Evil smoke-beast continued to rise from the cracked ice while the NC prepared their escape.

Paladin, using his necro-magic mutant powers blasted the NC sorceress Mysa, hoping to thwart her plans to open a bridge between the dimensions.

Naturally, Ego Prime went livid she, Rogue and Taurus tore into Team Beta and a slugfest ensued.

Meanwhile, the smoke-beast escaped the ice and the sun was blotted out by a 300-foot tall smoke-black mountain lion-like creature. It roared its jovial laughter in an unearthly voice. The Other chuckled also demanding that the creature serve him because he had freed it. "KIMARA THE CLOUD-STALKER SERVES NO ONE!" the beast mocked as it smashed the Other's installation with a single mastiff paw.

Team Beta, realizing at last that the NC had nothing to do with the great-beast, left the NC to battle the greater evil. The NC opened their dimensional portal and went home.

During the titanic struggle, Kodiak Steel, Quantum Flux and Spectrum teleported down to join the struggle. Monkey, curious creature he is, inspected the ruins of the Other's base to see if he might find a clue to defeating the creature. Indeed, he found the log book of adventurer Nathan ?? whose ghost had warned of the coming of the beast. Reviewing the log book, Auracle devised a plan to re-entrap the creature in the ice by having La Llorona and Trans-dimensional Guardian Z soak it with water, then Quantum Flux and Kodiak Steel shattered the ice mountains burying the horrible creature anew.

Paladin, still suspecting the dimensional portal might be open, discovered that indeed it was. In fact, he surmised that he might be able to widen the small rift to permit Team Beta to pursue the damned NC to their own dimension and bring them back to face justice. Paladin worked his magic, and the rift was opened slightly.

Suspecting a trap, Kodiak Steel volunteered to go first. After some discussion, it was agreed that he would go first. The last thing he heard as he passed through was Auracle's shout "Kodiak! No! It is a trap!"
