Background: Jewel has a poor relationship with her father, and this has defined her goals. His pride and joy is having been the two-term mayor of the campaign city. Therefore,
Jewel wants to be a three-term mayor. Her good looks and incredible charm will help her in these goals. She will form a natural association with the city's organized crime as they use each other
to make her mayor (and exploit the position for power once she is there). She is an opportunist with no sense of loyalty.
Jewel's mutant powers manifested in her senior year of high
school. Her friends thought it was cool (especially the boys), but her father did not like it. Her mother had died when she was very young. She has an older brother. Both her brother
and herself had been adopted as babies. Personality / Motivation: She looks friendly and harmless, but she is really a cold and calculating villain. She aspires to
have power while maintaining others as the figureheads. Jewel has the grand ambition to be the three term mayor of Duluth, Minnesota. Her father, whom she despises greatly, is very proud to have
been the two term mayor. Jewel's ambition has brought her in contact with organized crime and other sordid elements of Duluth. Quotes: "When I am mayor, things will be different."
"The working poor need more control over their own income. A tax break would obviously help them more than some form of public dole which would be exploited by criminals."
"Of course I know tax breaks help my wealthy supporters more than those uneducated misfits. I do have my priorities straight." Powers / Tactics: Jewel has
three powers. The first is that she can fly by unknown means at over 200mph. Her other powers are based on transmutation. Her body has been permanently transmuted into a non-crystalline
gemlike substance which gives her extradinary resiliancy to conventional and environmental forces. Her gemstone body is also very heavy and dense, partially contributing to her superhuman
strength. She can lift / press approximately 3/4 ton. She can also emit beams of energy from her fingertips which can transmute elements and reform objects, living or non-living. Living
objects eventually revert to their natural state by themselves, but non-living objects are permanently altered. Appearance:
Jewel is 5'10" tall and weights 420 lbs. She engages in intensive regular exercise giving her an athletic figure. Her emerald green body is slightly translucent in bright light, and
her skin is absolutely smooth. She has minimal body hair, and it is much like fiber optic cable in texture and form. |
