• Canada has super teams in all major cities and regions. Canada has a national superteam based in Toronto, lead by Virtua.  Quebec also has their own separtiste "national" superteam.  Both teams are civilian teams managed by the government.
• Canada is developing a number of hydroelectric and fission power plants.  Many of the hydroelectric plants are being built along the bays of the Eastern seaboard.  The environmentally safe technologies the Canadians prefer to use are very expensive, and supervillains occassionally try to steal the equipment for resale on the black market.
• Classic ghosts and spirits exist, allowing for haunted houses.
• Creatures of immense magical power exists.  Many claim to be from alternate dimensions, but the truth of this has rarely been verified.  Certainly some have been proven to be indiginous to the Earth and its dimension.
• Inter-dimensional travel exists (obviously, q.v. Niles), but is extremely difficult.  Only a few rare mystics and supers possess the knowledge or power to breach the barriers.
• China's national police force has supers.
• London has a superteam known as the London Guard.
