Background: A chaotic good gnoll ranger raised by "enlightened" wood elves after his gnoll tribe was wiped out by orcs. For decades, the orcs and gnolls of Myrewood fought to destroy each other, while the elves and humans kept them contained.  The bloody conflict finally ended when the orcs acquired an artifact that tipped the balance. However, the victory also weakened the orcs and the humans obliterated them even as the elves picked through the ruins of the gnoll settlement. An elvish ranger, who had recently lost her own child, found the infant "Blue Nose" and adopted him as her child.  He was welcomed into the "enlightened" tribe and raised as one of their own.  As a result of his unusual upbringing, he is strangely relaxed, friendly, loquacious, jovial and sometimes silly. Like the elves of his tribe, he is a vegetarian and dislikes meat. The Myrewood is so named because of the dangerous plant life that is so fond of eating humanoids.  His last name is taken from his adoptive elven parents and is pronounced "soon-a-lee-lef-cut-e-ay".

His advancement plans are to continue as a single-classed ranger.  Skill points will continue to go into Survival, Spot, Listen, Handle Animal and others, in that order. At level 8 he will raise his Intelligence to gain more skill points.

His favorite spells are entangle and pass without trace.

Special Possessions: His elven bow, although not magical, was a gift from his adoptive grandmother and he will go to outrageous lengths to protect it, recover it or repair it.

Credits and Notes: Inspired by the Chainmail miniature in the picture above, which also appears on page 114 of Dragon number 290.
