Background:  Burton Carter is a mutant whose powers manifested after his collegiate studies were complete.  He spent several years acting on both sides of the law as he travelled across Europe staying one step ahead of real  trouble. 

He met Glorion quite by accident, but immediately became a loyal follower of the charismatic politician.  Glorion has arranged for "custody" of Novastar and the European authorities leave him alone as long as he remains well behaved.

He provides sheer intimidation factor to Glorion's personal guard.

Personality / Motivation:  Novastar is a member of Glorion's personality cult.

Novastar is powerful, but slow.  He is a thug at heart.  His greatest weakness will be his own ego and overconfidence.

Powers / Tactics:  Novastar can generate heat and light.  He can surround himself in a sheath of flame which protects him from harm and allows him to fly.  He can throw fireballs.  He can generate blinding light and lasers.

He is arrogant and over-confident and will immediately seek to draw the attention of opponents.  He will take out flying opponents first.

Despite his psychological profile, Novastar does have a lot of combat experience and he is very skilled with his powers.

Appearance:  Novastar stands an erect 6'2".  He is strong, engaging in strenuous regular exercise and handsome.  He has blond hair and light blue eyes.
