Horus, the Avenger

Horus, the hawk-headed son of Osiris and Isis, is known as the Avenger because he sought vengenace upon his uncle, Set, for the death of his father.  He is powerfully built and wields his broadsword to great effect against the unjust.

Diety Alignment: Lawful Neutral

Clerical Domains: Destruction, Law, Sun, War

Typical Worshipers: Soldiers, nobles, revenge-seekers, the Order of the Flame

Material adapted from various sources, including Dragon #283, May 2001.

The Avengers of Horus

While not a separate character class, this career path might well be considered a separate character class.  The character takes his first level as a fighter, and then once he has proven himself, he is ordained into the clerical order (at character level 2).  The Avengers typicall take the Law and Sun domains as well as the power to turn undead because they frequently struggle against the minions of Set and evil who employ undead.

Prestige Class Options:  After character level 7, the Runecaster prestige class from the 3.Xe Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting becomes a good choice for alternate path.

* Due to space constraints, I did not write out the iterative attacks for Base Attack Bonus. The character has two attacks with a full attack action at level 8, three at level 14, and four at level 20.
