The official background of the Stormtroopers of Isis tells the tale that Lady Isis was so impressed by the creativity and faith of her faithful cleric Darkstar Omega that she charged him with creating an organization to spread the faith and defend the helpless and crush evil wherever it may be found.

Today, there are two branches of the Stormtroopers.  The largest body is found on Oerth, with a monastery near Waterdeep, and lead by a human paladin and halfling rogue.  This group numbers about one hundred members, all battle proven adventurers with a demonstrated record of supporting the causes of Law and Good. Officially, the only requirement is a strong devotion to Isis, but there are a few priests of Thoth as members, also.  The other branch of the SoI, the original branch, consists of just Darkstar and Marcus who do not recruit members and see no reason too (see below).

The real background is that Darkstar and his faithful assistant Marcus (played by Patric Rogers) were traveling and wandered into a bar. In this bar they found a half-dozen archetypal powerful adventurers (played by various people). Darkstar knew he needed to take immediate control of the situation, so he walked to the corner, stood thoughtfully facing the wall a moment, and in a flash of inspiration he pulled forth a can of flourescent orange spray paint and painted "Stormtroopers of Isis"on the wall. During the course of the next few days, they adventured together, and the human paladin and halfling rogue (played by Rich Dula) were so impressed by Darkstar that they asked how they could start a chapter of the Stormtroopers of Isis. Naturally, Darkstar had no idea since he hadn't ever thought about it before, so he gave them some vague instructions like "Honor Lady Isis and Lord Thoth above all others," and "You cannot charge for casting spells, but consultation fees can be enormous," and "If you ever insult Lady Isis, or me, I'll come back and kick your butts."

Mystic Stormtrooper of Isis Prestige Class

This path is the path of the mystic, advancing the study of magic and creating new and unique magic items.

Gained Abilities:

  • At each class level, the character gains +1 effective caster level in any one spell-casting class. This is an extraordinary ability.

Martial Stormtrooper of Isis Prestige Class

This path is the path of the warrior, advancing the cause of Isis by kicking butt.

Artificing Stormtrooper of Isis Prestige Class
