Weapon Proficiencies:  Staff, dagger

Non-Weapon Proficiencies:  Healing, navigation, herbalism, religion, direction sense, swimming, reading/writing, language (modern), fishing, weather sense

Typical Spells: 1) cure light wounds, protection from evil, sanctuary, light, entangle, 2) know alignment, silence 15' r., hold person, slow poison

Special Abilities:  turn undead, Immunity (+2 save against all poisons and disease), Soothing Words (3×/day), Laying Hands, Identification/Analysis of disease and poisons (by spending one round within 10' of someone, the priest can attempt an Intelligence check to determine what disease or poison is affecting a person) (3×/day) (see also The Complete Priest's Handbook and the notes regarding her deity Honelyn.)

Special Hindrances: Denali is not permitted to knowingly take the life of a sentient creature.  Doing so constitutes a major violation of her faith. She has also forsaken all wealth and property and may not own any single non-weapon item valued at more than 15gp and may not carry more than 75gp value of equipment or property at any time.  Should she acquire greater value, she will immediately donate it to her church or other causes dedicated to helping the poor.

Equipment:  Staff, large belt pouch, backpack, sandals, hiking boots

Background:   Denali was born 8th in a money-lending family.  Rather than gather the dowry to marry her off, she was sent to the convent to become a priestess of Honelyn.  There she studied medicine and healing.  She is modest and always looking out for the little guy.  When Pendragon stopped by the temple looking for recruits, Denali immediately jumped at the chance to join Lord's Falcon.

Personality / Motivation:  She is a priestess of Honelyn, a healing and light deity.  She is also a self-defense pacifist.

Quotes:   "If you insist on living downstream from the city, you must plan to filter your water through a cotton cloth before you drink it.  If you do this, you won't get sick as often."
"I do carry weapons, but if I have to use them, then I have done something wrong."

Powers / Tactics:   Denali does not like to fight, preferring to take a defensive stand and use her magics to protect and heal.  If she can negotiate a situation, that is best, otherwise she'll use her magic.

Appearance:  She is of average height and of plain beauty.  Although not as charismatic as Aria or Pendragon, her quiet confidence and soothing presence is popular with crowds.

Campaign Use:  She is a member of the Lord's Falcon.  She has taken the Peasant Priest kit from page 105 of The Complete Priest's Handbook.  She would be the Sage Counselor personality from the same book (page 113).
