The Empire is the birthplace of Dullon
Duralloy (see Supporting Cast), and
the setting for "The Dullon" series of stories (see
Fiction).
About the Empire

The Empire is steeped in symbolism and mystery. At least openly, Clan
loyalty is paramount to the individual and all clans are loyal to the Imperial
Throne. The karmic forces of the Empire support these attitudes and breaking
an oath invites disaster upon the oath breaker.
There are eight clans controlling 65 clan worlds. Each clan also has hundreds of colonies and one or more client peoples. The Empire evolved as a backdrop for Dullon Duralloy. The Empire has never been used in a GURPS campaign (well, not to my knowledge, anyway). A contempory Earth-based four-color game like the one I used Dulloon in would proba bly be set during the time of the Jihad, with the PCs fighting on one side or the other, or even just exploring and avoiding the whole Jihad. Alternately, the PCs could exist during the reign of Avon, when the Empire is still being rebuilt. Many explorers and diplomats are required. |
