Morpheus Unbound

As you will see by looking through here, I do not usually work linearly on one section at a time.  Rather, I juggle interest and time.  Usually I have very little time to make updates, so I hack out whatever I can, wherever I can resulting in just random goodness.

With each update, there are countless "nips and tucks" which are primarily cosmetic and occur so often I have decided to stop reporting them.

Check out the design notes for the "Morpheus Unbound Unified SHRPG Universe" at PBeM Diaries
(it is hidden under Kodiak Steel).

07 January 2012

New version of Aberrant V&V.  Cleaned up the rules and reworked it to flesh out the flavor of the campaign setting.

Revision 4.31 of the Unofficial Living Legends Companion is now available.

17 December 2011

In a colorful bit of weirdness, I was updating the D&D section of the site and found some pages that had not been modified in over 10 years.  Quite literally - June and July 2001 (turns out I actually have a lot of pages that are even older, e.g. Hardware, Conventional Body Armor, but I'm going to focus on this section for the moment).

There are a couple things weird about this, 1) ten years is a long time to leave a static page online (haha), 2) that was the pre-9/11 world (just think about that for a moment), 3) Wizards of the Coast has published three official revisions of D&D since that time (3e, 3.5e, 4e).  Obviously, these oldest pages are 2e :)  I've got a weird mish-mash of 2e, 3e and 3.5e.  (The one 4e piece - Dead Thom - is on the front page.)

Added Mutant Power (Nine Lives) to the V&V Power Stubs page, and modified the penalties for Conventional Medium and Heavy Body Armor in V&V.

12 November 2011

Revision 4.30 of the Unofficial Living Legends Companion is now available. A great pile of Car Wars stuff dredged out of my archives.  Also from the "dead file" is a support site I started making for the Lands of Arekoz nearly eight years ago.  The content has actually been up forever, but now I'm finally making links to it. :)

03 October 2011

Revision 4.28 of the Unofficial Living Legends Companion is now available.

23 July 2011

I'm using a new format for V&V character layout.  It's still not very pretty, but I think it is a bit easier to read.  I've updated Bant and Blue Condor, also adding a bit to the backstory on each.  Fixed Alexander's backstory (it had been totally blank, but now I've added some notes from memory).

Another month, another update to one of my two epic docs - in this case it is the Unofficial Living Legends Companion v4.25.

18 June 2011

Added Will Neumann's character Alexander, from a 1993 GURPS game I ran.  Added a GURPS conversion of the supervillan Deathgrip from a Chaosium SHRPG sourcebook published in the 1980s.  Added the character Fireline from some really old notes.

Added "Psionics (Invisibility to Psionics)" to the V&V Power Stubs page.  It's a variation on the immunity to psionics concept.

14 May 2011

Revision 4.20 of the Unofficial Living Legends Companion - now over 100 pages of goodness!

19 April 2011

Added Fireman and Roger Donahue from some really old notes I found on my computer.  Added PDF versions of a bunch of material after receiving a flattering request from the V&V Yahoo groupPower Stubs, Defining Normal and Gevalia Bant .

19 March 2011

Uploaded an updated version of Photonic Titan from TMBCv4, including the Living Legends translation.

Guidelines for Training and Inventing Points for Villains & Vigilantes.

A new edition (v4.16) of the Unofficial Living Legends Companion.

19 February 2011

Added a Villains & Vigilantes character Blue Condor.  This uses new guidelines for Pets that I found on the web.

25 December 2010

Added a Villains & Vigilantes conversion of Captain Hunk, and revised the Living Legends edition of him to better reflect the original Marvel Superheroes version.

Created the Bronze Baker and his minions, the GinjaNinjas.

I picked up a copy of Villains & Vigilantes 2.1.2 recently, and was surprised to find that the Hit Point Modifiers for Strength and Agility were identical to the 2.0 edition from 1983.  Therefore, I've started the long process of going back through my site and making sure the V&V versions are compliant.  I was surprised because the UNIGames website "officially" flipped the Str and Agl tables more than 10 years ago.  Not a big deal ;-)

10 November 2010

Uploaded Captain Hunk from a superhero game I ran in a previous life.  You think Professional Rasslin' is big now?  I remember when it was ... no, I think it's actually always been rather popular, if not quite as populist as it is today.  Nevermind.  The funny (or is it sad?) bit is that Captain Hunk still works :-)

Also Revision 0.321 of the d20 OGC collection.  Again, it's a fantasy collection for d20 3.5e; I added some new prestige classes and a lot of other material since the last upload.

02 October 2010

Revised Morning Dragon.

11 September 2010

Added the revised Ki Warrior prestige class for d20 3.5e, and an updated version of the d20 OGC collection.

Added Heightened Expertise (Veteran Warrior), and Heightened Defense (Veteran Warrior) to the Villains & Vigilantes Power Stubs page.

As an aside - it's the 9th anniversay of "9/11" - may the souls of those who were murdered on 11-Sept-2001 rest in peace, and may we remember those first few days following that fateful day, when the entire human race, for just a few moments, was one family.  Memories of such moments give me hope for the human race.

14 August 2010

Added the low-power supervillainess, Bant, with stats for V&V, LL and Hero.

18 July 2010

Updated the Four Winds campaign setting notes under Justice Sentinel based on corrected information from Christian Irish.

26 June 2010

Jack Herman and Jeff Dee regained the trademark and publication rights to Villains & Vigilantes this month, and have launched their new company, Monkey House Games, to restore it to active publication.  In honor of this, I have updated every page in my V&V/LL section to reflect this great news (especially see the FAQ page, where I outline some of the chronology of things).

Just for fun (and a sense of historical accuracy and canon), I have left last month's remark (below) about how the Unofficial Living Legends Companion will always contain the conversions of V&V characters appearing in that book.  This funny, because I'm sure that in a few months Jack and Jeff will publish the official LL conversions of said characters, making my bold statement charmingly, pretentiously, wrong :-)

There is also yet-another-new-release of the Unofficial Living Legends Companion.  It's still a version 4.x, so no worries.

New LL conversion for Steamroller.

30 May 2010

A ton of Living Legends character conversions from They Might Be Characters Vol. 1 - Allison Cromwell, Cargill, Choice, Cynthia Monroe, Dr Volkh, Fairchild, Isvestia, Maple Leaf Titan (formerly Giant), and Morning Dragon.

New appearances of LL conversions from TMBC - Symphony (TMBCv3), Jewel (TMBCv4), Shroud (TMBCv5)

Updates to other TMBC favorites - Hypercore (TMBCv1), Power Girl (TMBCv1), Chain Lightning (TMBCv2), Elegance (TMBCv2), Raider (TMBCv2), Kammer (TMBCv5).

I removed the links for any characters that appear in the Unofficial Living Legends Companion, because that will always be the most recent edition of those characters, including containing most current copyright notice on said characters.

29 April 2010

Released edition 0.314 of the collected d20 - added a ton of new material and continued the ongoing project to clean up the formatting and make it more usable.

Expanded the background of Firething and made him more of a person instead of a simply an interesting tank.

Added Michael L. Straus's year 2000 twenty-two page compilation of new and variant powers for Villains & Vigilantes to the site.

29 March 2010

Updated my variant of Clamor with proper Living Legends rules conversions. Posted a PDF of Jeff Dee's 1998 "V&V Rules Upgrade" which adds point-buy character generation and a skill system to V&V.

Updated the PDFs for Chain Lightning, Chem, Cindy Synnett (Fission Girl), Elegrance and Raider.  Also added the PDFs for Hypercore and Power Girl (both from TMBCv1).

Added Elana Yuna Cosplay Gladiator - a d20 3.5e fantasy character/sourcebook inspired by a model whose name I'm not really sure of, but really, since she apparently lives in Italy and is totally hot in costumes, do you care? :-)

Also, in the d20 3.5e fantasy is revision 0.309 of my massive collection of OGC.  I've added more material from my numerous notebooks and also begun reorganizing, reformatting and rewriting (yes, all three at the same time) the OGC collected from other sources.

09 February 2010

Updated Adamantron, Captain Ultra, Elastimen, Vibron and Vindicator with proper Living Legends rules conversions.  Added a different model for random power generation in V&V that I collected from the 'net.

05 December 2009

Predictably (for anyone who knows me), another revised edition of the "Living Legends Unofficial Errata" except that I changed the name to the Unofficial Living Legends Companion to reflect a change in scope and direction.  I left the older links to the earlier doc in place on this page, for a variety of reasons.

I also added an updated version of Timestone (originally appearing in They Might Be Characters Vol. 3: R/Evolution).

10 November 2009

Added real Living Legends stats for Steamroller.

18 October 2009

Added Blastin' Butch Floop and Captain Floop.  Revised edition of the Living Legends Unofficial Errata.

03 October 2009

Added Living Legends Unofficial Errata, a compilation of rules and commentary and Jeff Dee art that I put together and originally posted on the Yahoo LL group.  I removed some of the links to the Alternate Skill CP Cost doc because it has been depricated and replaced by the new "unofficial errata" doc.

06 September 2009

Added Living Legends conversions for Crime Teacher (Education in Terror) and Triceratops (Education in Terror).  Added original character Snow Leopard, inspired by the body painting work of Mark Greenawalt and a random die roll or three.

Added my Alternate Skill CP Cost rules for Living Legends.

23 August 2009

Added Living Legends conversions for Super Nova (Most Wanted Vol 3), Chem (Education in Terror), Borg (Education in Terror), and Penumbra (Education in Terror).

Also added new character Emerald Firepower.  I have both a V&V version and a Living Legends version, but although inspired by the same artwork, and thus with similar powers and background, it is not a conversion of the same character.

29 June 2009 I added a couple dozen Living Legends conversions of official V&V campaign setting characters, as well as conversions of some of my own characters from TMBC and even an original LL-only character or two.  I redesigned the V&V/LL section a little, and updated some of the sidebar notes (like "Jeff and Jack are writing a new game..." ... that was released 4 years ago... ugh).
28 March 2009

I added a Living Legends conversion for Boogeyman .

08 March 2009

On the Cast page, I broke Living Legends out into a separate group from Villains & Vigilantes.  They share the same universe, but as games, they have no mechanics in common, so I feel it makes more sense doing it this way.

I added a Living Legends conversion for Dreamweaver.  I added a Living Legends converstion for Justice Sentinel.  I also updated the campaign setting background on Justice Sentinel to better pay homage to all the creative minds who played in the Four Winds PBeMs back from 1998 to 2001 or so.

28 February 2009 After a long hiatus due to my former day job, I am back at the writing thing.   Firething added to the V&V/LL section .
13 May 2006 A Wizard's Guide to Changing Monster Size is a new d20 OGC PDF that includes comments on changing the size of monsters (like when one might want to) and the new spells enlarge monster and reduce monster.
15 April 2006 After I posted by artwork wishlist, Jeff Phillips responded immediately by sending me a great action piece  for the Elastimen that he had done years ago but had forgot to send me :-) Better late than never I suppose!  Thanks again, Jeff!
04 March 2006 Jesus Roman sent me some very touching praise for Subway Sonata.  I was additionally touched because I've always been very proud and very pleased with that short story.  Judd was fantastic helping me by providing the prose to help me bring my story vision to life.
18 February 2006 I found an old table tent I'd put together for Bartleby Tiberius Pheight back in 2003-2004 when I was attending Dragonflight regularly and having a chance to play him with friends.
21 January 2006 Happy New Year!

Updated the updated version of Bartleby Tiberius Pheight with even more OGC.  The new OGC includes a revision to the Epic Mystic Theurge PrC ('cuz the one in the SRD is just a little too weak).  The update also includes new feats which can also be found on the single item d20 OGC PDFs page ('cuz it's fun to release PDFs! :-).

14 January 2006 Happy New Year!

Added an updated version of Bartleby Tiberius Pheight with OGC.  Added a new construct-character, the Rodiron Maiden, inspired by the art of Rod Owen.  Added a slew of single item d20 OGC PDFs, almost all of which are magic items, but there is also a feat in there.

16 October 2005 Added the Adventuring Sage Release 1.0 d20 fantasy core class (PDF) by Patric L. Rogers.  This new OGC document contains a complete core character class, epic level extensions, and several original feats.  Plans for Release 2.0 include sample characters ready to drop into any campaign, more feats, and any feedback anyone wants to provide.
01 October 2005 Added the ring of divine service from Rick Lewis and Patric L. Rogers. It also contains the ring of epic divine service, and the minor miraclespell. The entire document is Open Game Content.
17 September 2005 I got email from a fellow whose middle name is "Parn" and his grandfather's first name was "Parn".  He asked because it is an uncommon (if not unusual) name and he wondered how I had named the Fire Sorcerers of Parn.  (I made it up; it just had a nice sound to it.)

I added the ring of substitution d20 OGC by Rick Lewis, and the Eldritch Manrat (PDF) creature OGC adapted by me from Creature Collection I from Sword & Sorcery Studios.  This particular bit is a draft, and it says so right in the manuscript, as I am planning to expand the creature race extensively and publish that here also.  This draft just "stakes my claim" on the idea :-)

13 August 2005 I have added the variant PC race "dwarforged" to the D&D section. This is a warforged variant for the Eberron campaign setting.

I added my first epic level d20 character to the site.  "Bartleby Tiberius Pheight" is a character I play at a local con annually when I get together with some friends that I only ever see at the con.  I've developed a lot of Open Game Content, and my inclusion of some in this file represents my first public publication of this OGC and my declaration to the world that in spire of Dark Portal Games going under, I'm still in business :-)   (I think in later updates I will remove the image and rework the page arrangement a bit so it does not jump right into the PDF.)

I've also kept in touch with Phil Smith and Johnathon Walls from my work with DPG.  Hopefully we'll all get something out there soon.

11 June 2005 Having just spent the past 3+ years trying to become a successful d20 author, I am now much older, wiser and respectful of copyright law and getting permission to use other peoples' material before (re)posting it on my website. As a consequence, you will see a lot of material changing over the next couple weeks.

The first to be affected in this case is "What Rough Beast" written by John Sullivan, originally published in Hero Games Adventurer's Club issue 3 (1983), and updated by me to HERO 4e, with some notes for GURPS and V&V.  Steve Long at Hero Games granted me the permission of Hero Games, but remarks that typically the contracts for AC allowed the authors to retain ownership and publication rights to their own works.  Steve says I need to get John's permission.  I'm debating whether to take it down.  Anyone have any fricking clue how to find the right John Sullivan?!

For V&V fans, I added the new power variant Heightened Intelligence (Skill Mastery) to the power stubs page. Some of the younger viewers might wonder what "years of practical experience" has to do with anything. Here is an example, I'm taking the practice exams for the A+ and MCSE tests right now.  I've had no formal education in these technologies, nor have I studied for the exams, and I'm acing the exams simply because I've been hacking computers for 15+ years. :-)

21 May 2005 Moved the entire site to a new hosting service. It was down for about a week, but all the material is still here. If you find any broken links, let me know.

I added Half-Jack and his Masters of Disaster.  I did this because they appear in the Adventures in Fine Dining adventure stub I wrote up in the V&V/Living Legends section of my site, but I never quite finished.  I'm still not quite finished, but at least the adventure will be more useful now :-)

Fixed some broken WebRing code.

16 March 2005 While reading the Ultimate Guide to the X-Men I remembered how cool the Sentinel Primes are (well, for murderous robots, anyway).

Since I love Champions, these seemed like a natural. It struck me also that it would be natural to have a "sentinel prime package" that could be added to any normal human (q.v. Normals Unbound) just like the sentinal primes are normal humans cybridized into murderous robots.  These packages are not fully point balanced at this time because 1) my 4th ed. book is buried dee in storage and, 2) I do not own the 5th ed. book yet :-).

I added a completely unrelated Champions conversion to the GURPS/V&V sentinel prime I did a couple years ago (at the bottom of the page). This conversion is consistent with the robot presented on that page, so the page is internally consistent.  I also copied some artwork from the Ultimate Guide for this one.

16 October 2004 The Dragon Breath Master prestige class for d20 games is not just for true dragons, but works for any creature with a breath weapon.
09 October 2004 Updated Blue Nose, Ferena Firesong, Frogarth Sten, Mullen the Outcast, Nicholas Roseshaper, Rynn Drakan, Rachael Wolf, and the Spectral Archer classpath to 3.5e.

Modified the Fire Sorcerers of Parn to clarify distinctions between the racial sub-groups.  It now uses inherited racial templates (Deep Blood Fire Sorcerer and Offspring of Parn).  The children of Parn also have a variant barbarian class that emphasizes speed over ferocity.

24 September 2004 Well, after three years of pouring my energies into the now basically dead Dark Portal Games, I've decided to come back to my own projects and I expect to update this site at least a couple times a year from now own. First, to begin attending to the backlog of email and information that people have extremely helpfully sent me. Second, to add some of the new ideas and characters that I've developed in the interim.  Perhaps some of the work I devised for DPG will appear here.

Myrna Blankenstein is the Rynn Draken model.  An game session blog with new creatures and ideas on how to make creatures on the fly.  Epic level extensions for the ascetic class template from Wizards of the Coast's Book of Exalted Might.

26 November 2002 I changed the name of the "Cro-star" robot in the GURPS section at the request of the organization that owns the trademark on the word used in the former name ("cross" plus "tar").  Really, sometimes it makes me crazy the things that can be considered "intellectual property" and the abuses (i.e. suppression of free speech) that can be made of such.

Seriously, I am glad they told me for two reasons.  One is that I do not want to infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.  Two, because the philosophy of this organization sickens me .  (Note that I am breaking character and not providing a link to them.)

28 June 2002 Fixes, corrections, tweaks and other maintenance work.
29 March 2002 Trying something new for the layout of this page. We'll see if it works the way it is supposed to.

In the last month, I've added a number of scans of original product covers and advertisements in Dragon magazine. For those of us as old as I am, seeing these takes me back. All the way back to the last time I opened my closet and looked through all my V&V stuff. *grin* Okay, so that wasn't that long ago.  For some of you others, though, this might be a treat.

On the thread of classic RPG art, I found another piece from Hero Games Adventurer's Club #3 for the "What Rough Beast?" adventure.

22 February 2002 Added some mass alteration rules for V&V by demi-god of role-playng games Brian Rogers.  I am not in the habit of using material written by other people, but in this case it was worthwhile.

I added several new D&D characters to that section of the Supporting Cast.  I attached that page to the RPG Top Sites top D&D sites, created a banner for the D&D supporting cast, and attached the sourcebook section to the "3e Prestige Class" webring as well.  In a busy month for this section, a new prestige class was created: the Artificing Stormtrooper of Isis.

A correction has been added to the Champions / Hero System section of my site.  Apparently there was an edition of the Champions rule book even older than the one I have(!).  Thanks to Taka MacLeod for letting me know.

I've reinstalled Webring code for the V&V section of the site, the Shadowrun area, and the GURPS vehicles page as well.

28 December 2001 New artwork from Jeff Phillips for Shieldwall and Josie Lopez (and a spelling change for Josie from "Jose" to "Josie" to clarify pronounciation).

Also added the character Strongforce to the Hero System section, including art by Jeff Phillips.

30 November 2001 Updated the D&D characters section by adding my Living Greyhawk character Frogarth Sten and fixing some problems with Blackfriar Gray's sheet. I also added a new psion character: Mr. Buttons, the Deathcat.

Artist Jeff Phillips has come through again with art for elemental secret agent Mr. Gibson.

A few new image links to the links page.

26 October 2001 Added Justice Sentinel, a Four Winds: Anthology inspired character to the V&V character section.

With the sleak V&V system I banged out some conversion notes for two Justifiers RPG vehicles.

Webring moved again, so I systematically went through my site and excised as many Webring panels as I could find.  When I have time to properly update the codes, I'll reinstall the ring control panels.

More new art from Jeff Phillips: Check out Iron Maiden and Justice Sentinel.

28 September 2001 Added Gabrielle to the D&D cast section.  Gabrielle, aka X-Factor-1, aka Sheila Ironwolf, is a character I've had for almost two decades (yep, I'm and "old" gamer <g>).  She started out as an AD&D 1e thief, then mutated into an Oriental Adventures bushi/ninja for many years because it fit her concept.  With the introduction of D&D 3e, she has returned somewhat to her roots, but still carries traces of the bushi/ninja (represented by levels of barbarian and monk respectively since I don't have Sword & Fist or the 3e Oriental Adventures).

Added Venus to the Shadowrun cast section.  Also in the Shadowrun department is, for the first time ever outside Patric's head, a glimpse into the secret origins of the "House of Cards" organization of shadowrunners as seen in the Albion Campaign.

Added a new Natural Weaponry variant to the V&V Powerstubs page.  Some new House Rules for extending the effective range of superpowers in V&V

Added some new banners for use with anyone who wants to swap banners.

24 August 2001 Just some very important cleanup work.  I have so little time with the site now that I hadn't realized how many pages still had the old hotmail.com email address listed at the bottom.  The official email address for Morpheus Unbound is morpheus_unbound@patric.net.  Accept no substitutions. *grin*
17 August 2001 I've been very involved with the new 3rd edition D&D and the d20 System. I've done some freelance work for Dark Portal Games.

The result is that most of the content added here relates to D&D.  I have new 3e versions of the sisters Onyx and Emerald Warhammer.  I've added a new fellow by the name of Nicholas Roseshaper.  I've got local campaign notes for the dieties Horus, Isis and Thor.  (Imagine my surprise to learn that the Forgotten Realms setting had Isis as a local divinity! (I cut my teeth on Greyhawk before there was a Realms, then it was all homegrown worlds after that.))

I'm very excited to announce that artist Jeff Phillips has provided art for Rampage, Paladin and Blue Ivy.  These are all superhero characters found here at Morpheus Unbound.  You can see more of his art in the Art Gallery at patric.net.

01 December 2000 I have been very busy in the "Real World."  Took a new "regular job" to help pay the bills and have been quite involved with one of my PBeM Diaries characters.  All of that takes time away from this site.

This month I edited the links page.  I added some new ones, and cleaned up some that had grown stale.

I updated the AD&D Supporting Cast section, including a 3e version of Onyx Warhammer.

04 August 2000 Joined the GURPS Gear Head Webring.  Completely redesigned the AD&D Supporting Cast section, including the addition of several new characters:  Emerald Warhammer (mercenary priest of Thor), Onyx Warhammer (warrior sister of Emerald who takes her emulation of Thor to extremes), Rachael Wolf (roaming priest of Forseti, taking justice across the land), Rynn Drakan (spell-jamming priest of Horus), Myrmidon Dave (a dream traveller from a place close to home) and the goddess Honelyn (aspected to light and healing, patron diety of Denali).  Speaking of dreams, in my case it was Nanite Audio Receiver Lotion for GURPS.
25 June 2000 Stuck up some art for Jennifer Dawson.  Added four SHRPG adventures stubs  under the V&V portion of this site.  Conversion notes for Shadowrun to Marvel Superheroes.  Posted a Battletech scenario that was inspired by a pick-up game at the University of Toledo BASH-CON back in the late 1980s.  Registered with RPGHost - click the link and boost my standing!
03 March 2000 Best news!  I've updated all of the They Might Be Characters books Volumes 1 through 5!  More information!  New pictures!  Be sure to check out Book 5: Intercrime!   Send me feedback telling me if you like them, hate them, or know ways to improve them!  (Bad news is that I've dropped TMBCv6 and TMBCv7 for the near future.  If I get some decent work done on them, I'll put them back on the schedule.)

I've set up a new email address for Morpheus Unbound.  The new address is morpheus_unbound@patric.net.  I created that because I just cannot tolerate the abyssmal performance of Hotmail.com anymore.  Too slow, too insecure, and owned by you-know-who.  ;-)  I do still have the morpheus_unbound@hotmail.com address and I will continue to check it periodically.

Got email from David Pulver giving me some errata for HESH ammo.  He also called this site "cute".  I almost wish he'd said "interesting" instead ;-)  Boosted the characteristics on the Elastimen to reflect the type of work they are supposed to do.

07 January 2000 Well, after a brief hiatus, I'm back in business.  I've got several projects going simultaneously, but I got tired of waiting so this is an interim update. ;-)

I'll start off with yet more Power Stubs.  Major changes in the entire "They Might Be Characters" series, including finally "finishing" TMBCv4 (as much as these things are ever finished; that's why they have version numbers <g>).  Added TMBCv6 and TMBCv7.  Updated the new races introduced in the TMBC books.

Added a new AD&D arch-fiend, Astaroth.  I added some more material to the Lord's Falcon characters (One of these days I'll dig my AD&D books out of storage and really finish these chracters.)

Added a new GURPS robot, the Short-Round.

24 September 1999 Culled the V&V publications for more Power Stubs.  Albert Deschesne gave me some more info about the Destroyers so I updated that page. TMBCv4 is finally up!  I added the "Join List" code to the main page. Now you can subscribe to the list and get email notification of site updates.

Having said that, I'm going on hiatus for a while, as "Real Life" is simply demanding too much time right now. However, you should sign up and get notice when I've returned! *grin*

23 July 1999 Added some artwork to Ego Prime. Added Halcyon, White Dwarf, Animal and Gabrielle to the Supporting Cast section.  Updated the Heavensent, and they should now be fully compatible with the V& Upgrade rules.  Substantially boosted the Links page.  New Championsower package added to Plug-ins. A FAQ for the V&V/LL WebRPG forum.
09 July 1999 Redesigned the Supporting Cast page and added new TMBCs. Learned some new information about the Destroyers and updated that page.  Added a team of AD&D characters known as the Lord's Falcon to Supporting Cast (although not all the members are fully on-line yet).  Added some Lord's Falcon fiction bites.  Added the character Paladin to the V&V characters section. Some new V&V powerstubs.
11 June 1999 Added an errata page for core rules V&V.  Posted Super Nova for V&V. Completely redesigned the Supporting Cast page, including posting the first revisions of They Might Be Characters Volume 2 and They Might Be Characters Volume 3.
28 May 1999 Some house rules for conventional body armor in V&V.  Added the Elastimen, which include some new notes on the activit Motivator.  Finally decided I really do need to add a links page.  I've been avoiding it for years, because links pages are so common as to seem pointless. I always felt the search engines could be more useful, but I've finally concluded my links page will reflect only those pages that actually have relevancy to my site.
14 May 1999 Well, this uate took a lot longer to get up than I expected.  It was a V&V period again. I added some new powers to the Power Stubs and Brian Rogers gave me four sourcebooks worth of villains to add to the Who Where page. The first of the Black Legion robots  now online.
23 April 1999 Got hoooked up to the V&V Webring. Redesigned the V&V section index page. Got revision 042399 of They Might Be Characters Volume 1 up for V&V.
16 April 1999 It's done! It's done!  Our very first character sourcebook is done!  They Might Be Characters is is sourcebook for V&V with more than 20 characters.  Check it out in the V&V Supporting Cast section.

I modified the Morpheus Unbound front page, adding the About Us and Support Us sections.  I started hacking out the Who Where directory and added even more Power Stubs in the V&V section.  In the same section, I added my thoughts about Defining Normal.

02 April 1999 Changed Iron Maiden, Steamroller, and Boogeyman to classic V&V. I went a bit crazy adding V&V powers to the power stubs page, and I hacked out some house rules for Cyberpathy.
19 March 1999 Updated the characters Rampage and Dreamweaver from the May 1997 version of Living Legends (rules no longer available, BTW) back to pure V&V.  Added notes about the Crusaders Reserve Team.  Added notes for the Gormelites and their position in the Empire of Dreams.  The usual battery of nip and tucks . cleaning up typos mostly.  I did make some updates to the Battletech and Shadowrun section, including the addition of material about the "Albion campaign". Added some new V&V and Champions rules to the House Rules section. Rearranged the V&V section, including adding Power Stubs.

All the usual nips and tucks where I clean up formatting, spelling, grammar and bad links.

19 February 1999 More nips and tucks. Added new technology rules for streamlined force fields in GURPS.

The most significant changes this time around all take place in the Empire of Dreams campaign setting for GURPS.  I added substantial new material to the Empire and re-wrote some sections.  New material touches on religion, politics, technology and the governing Karmic Forces.  I also added some artwork, swiping a few pictures from NASA and other more terrestrial sources.  Part of this included updates to the Kim'soh and Kharakan Giants alien races.  Both races appear in the Empire.

29 January 1999 The never-ending struggle of making corrections and changes continued.  I did a quick survey and I've got more than 200 documents up here, not including the images.  That's a lot of material, thankyouverymuch.  =)

This time around, I added some characters and content to the Shadowrun section, including fleshing out the old material.  I got some nice feedback from other members of the Webring and that gave me some new directions to go.  I also made some updates to Empire.  I have dozens of pages of material yet to add to both, and I'll let you know when I get that up.  I reorganized the layout of the V&V section and hacked out some old garbage that is no longer relevant.  If I get a chance to update it, I'll put it back up.

I got the GURPS Webring link updated, so now it comes to this site, but the Circle of Heroes is not updated yet.

15 January 1999 Made lots of small corrections and changes. Moving to a new site always demands so many changes. Ah well, at least making changes is so much easier now. Got the the site added to the Shadowrun Webring.  I keep adding material even as I try to complete the migration.
20 November 1998 Well, enough handling other projects, it's time to finally update and overhaul this site again. As you will notice, it's got a new Web address here at patric.net. I moved it simply because it's easier to manage here than on AOL.

If you've seen the old site on AOL, you'll notice that many things are different.  The changes will continue as I have time.
